MICHAEL DOUGLAS: Do We Have The Right To Be Forgotten?
Not the actor. This Michael Douglas is a young academic and serial high achiever. Michael combines legal chops, a background in ethics and a tenuous sense of humour to be an engaging teacher and researcher in law. Outside of lecturing Michael is chair of a school board, a Global Shaper at the Perth Hub of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community, an MBA candidate on a full scholarship to UWA, and a miscellaneous do-gooder. Prior to academia Michael defended journalists as a media lawyer then researched investor-State dispute settlement at the UN Commission on International Trade Law in Korea. Michael will speak to the European ‘right to be forgotten’ and the place of privacy in an Information Age of digital permanency.
